National Conference Call: Homeless and Low Income Voter Registration

Here's to and for all of you who care about low income folks (commonly referred to as "the poor"), as well as our homeless neighbors. I hope you'll be able to get involved in this important call that will last only one hour. LJ

Another important election year is approaching and we hope you will join us in ensuring everyone's voice is heard.

Several national organizations* are holding a conference call on Wednesday August 6 at 3:00 pm ET to discuss the many ways your organization can get involved with National Homeless & Low Income Voter Registration Week, September 21-27, 2008. Please note the new access code 15392836#.

Since equal access to the right to vote is a crucial part of maintaining a true democracy, nonprofits and service agencies nationwide will dedicate the week toward registering homeless and low-income individuals to vote. For those unable to conduct voter registration drives, the week can also be used to educate community members on the election process.
