Texas Connector is here!!!

See information below on one of the most amazing community assessment and development tools that I've ever seen. Plan to attend the Dallas area roll out next Tuesday, February 21 at 9:00 a.m. at the Richardson East Church of Christ (1504 E. Campbell Road, Richardson, Texas 75081).

"I'll run over and pick up both our welfare checks, then drop by the university to see what's holding up our Fedweal Education grants. Meanwhile, you go to the free clinic for pregnancy test and if it's positive, fill out the necessary papers for assistance and baby bonus. Oh, and pick up my free glassed, and then we will meet at the federal building at noon for the mass picketing of the stinking establishment."

Our food stamp president is offering $75,000 of taxpayer money for the best idea on how to get more people on food stamps.

Those are somewhat strange and disturbing rants, given that they have absolutely nothing to do with the post. But sadly typical.

Anon 2:03, that's sure a lot of running around just to get a free ride on the economy. Maybe someone could write a grant or two to set up a one-stop-shop to simplify our efforts. In fact, part of the grant could include transportation to and from the central location - and the voting booth - to keep us from worrying about how to get access to our well-deserved resources. It would have to be Central to create equal access. And I suppose it should be named after the City of Dallas to ensure it is not confused by govt. grant administrators with other fine programs. Of course, it is a Ministry, of sorts. But then, it might confuse people into thinking it is concerned with the Real Gospel. Maybe another name could work better. Do you have any ideas about what to call it?
