Support SCHIP to your Senators

The U.S. Senate is currently debating the Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) Reauthorization Act of 2009 (S. 275).

SCHIP helps ensure that children have access to affordable, comprehensive health coverage. It's one of the most effective public programs in the country.

SCHIP has helped cut the rate of uninsured children by about one-third since 1997.

If reauthorized, this program could reduce uninsured numbers nationwide by two-thirds.

In the current economic recession, SCHIP is more important than ever: polls consistently show that health care costs are one of the top concerns among families in tough times.

Please contact your U.S. Senators and urge them to:

Vote YES on the SCHIP Reauthorization; and

Vote NO on any attempts to weaken the bill's coverage for properly documented immigrants.

  1. i wish i could do whatever i could, except i'm not american and i'm not living there. however, that doesn't change my views--children should always have health care at the ready--they're the most vulnerable and they don't have their own means to acquire the service

  2. Larry, I apologize if this is getting you involved in politics, but will Cornyn or Hutchison really listen to voters who don't already agree with them or hugely fund them? I'm not really against Kay Bailey, but I've never gotten a welcoming-input vibe from her either. And Cornyn makes sure DeLay still has a voice. A bitter, bitter voice.

  3. Charles, I understand your reluctance. Still, our part is to speak up and out on behalf of the poor and those who need the benefit. The part of the Congress is to do the right thing. I continue to believe that we can sway opinion. In fact, Sen Hutchison voted to reauthorize SCHIP.

But, as long you stay up, keep your head up right, do your homework like the Mister that wrote this well written piece did.
Sooner or later, you'll have a plan and succeed, so its never too late to begin, start now! Don't procrastinate, get to organizing your life and you too will make it in the business world! :)
