On being real

I've said it before on this page: I love reading Rick Reilly. For years, I read Reilly's back page essay in every issue of Sports Illustrated.

Now that Reilly is at ESPN, I read the back page of ESPN The Magazine.

Take a few moments to read Reilly on John Elway, All-Pro quarterback for the Denver Broncos.

Ellway comes across in the incident Reilly describes as much more than a role model.

Elway steps up to encourage a kid, but in the process he reveals just how real he is as a person.

Great story about a great guy.

Everyone counts! Everyone wins again!

I've read Rick Reilly's commentary for years. He left Sports Illustrated to join ESPN. I love what he writes.

But, I've gotta tell you, I've not read anything before like this.

Talk about a community intervention! Attitudes like this could change life for millions.

Don't miss it.

Then, tell me what you think.
