The forgotten. . .

From the hymnal of Israel:

The poor can run to you
because you are a fortress
in times of trouble.
Psalm 9:9

The poor and the homeless
won't always be forgotten
and without hope.

Psalm 9:18

Funny. No one hardly ever comments on scripture!

Did you ever quote these Psalms passages to Grant Wells? Better yet did you ever bear witness to him; or does your Franciscan outlook prevent this?

We had many what I'm sure you'd consider "spiritual conversations" about God's love for both him and me. I don't recall pointing him to these specific texts, but the sense f both fit with the understanding of God that he brought to our friendship; he already knew these truths. His problem was not with God.
