That was a terrific article about the After School Academy in the paper this morning. This quote by Wyshina Harris particularly resonated - "Don't come in and give a bike at Christmas and expect these kids' lives to be OK. Help them with their homework for a year. If you're going to do it, do it all the way. It's great when people give. Just don't give and leave."
We're still trying to work out how to be there at Skillman, and it seems at times like an awfully slow process, but don't give up on us.
