On the TV show House, House reminds us all regularly that "everybody lies." I would say, "especially to ourselves." And one lie we all tell ourselves is that the wealthy, if they get their tax breaks, will make sure that everybody benefits. (The wealthy tell this lie to themselves also).

Hogwash! Trickle down does not work -- and yet we all keep believing the lie.
