Responding to the needs of Jesus

"For I was hungry, while you had all you needed.

"I was thirsty, but you drank bottled water.

"I was a stranger, and you wanted me deported.

"I needed clothes, but you needed more clothes.

"I was sick, and you pointed out the behaviors that led to my sickness.

"I was in prison, and you said I was getting what I served."

Matthew 25:31ff

As I read my first thought was was a general agreement worth the sentiment. Then quickly the typical middle class question came took mind, "but where do we draw the line?" followed by, "is there a line?" And then "do we have right to draw a line?"

What an accurate modern rendition of Jesus' statements. Amazing what blinders people put on to avoid such direct teaching.
